Euronews is preparing program episodes about Baikonur and Katon-Karagai

Euronews is preparing two new episodes of the program Modern Nomads dedicated to Kazakhstan’s tourist routes. The European television crew visited Baikonur and the Katon-Karagai district.

On average, 6–7 rocket launches take place annually at the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The Euronews creative team managed to capture one of these unique moments.

The episodeabout Baikonur will showcase the legendary sites where humanity’s space era began.

The program will feature the world’s first crewed spaceflight launch pad – the “GagarinStart.” Viewers will also see the tallest structure at the cosmodrome – the Dynamic TestStand, the Assembly and Fueling Complex, the Buran spacecraft, and the Baikonur citymuseum. In addition, the episode will cover notable sites in the Kyzylorda Region, such asthe local history museum and the Korkyt-Ata memorial complex.

The second episode is dedicated to one of the most picturesque corners of EastKazakhstan – Katon-Karagai. The European film crew explored the area’s natural andcultural treasures, as well as wellness tourism opportunities. The episode will includefootage of tourist routes in the Katon-Karagai State National Nature Park – theRakhmanovskie Klyuchi hot springs, Kokkol waterfall, and the villages of Uryl andKorobiha.

Special attention is given to methods of antler therapy and apitherapy used for healthrecovery. The episode will feature Aksu-Deyen LLP, which produces dietary supplementsand medicinal products from local raw materials.

The new episodes of the program are scheduled to air on Euronews in September.

It is worth noting that the international television program Modern Nomads has previouslyfeatured the city of Turkistan and the natural wonders of the Mangystau region.
