Kazakh Tourism presented investment opportunities to Вulgarian business people
In 2024, the number of visitors from Bulgaria to Kazakhstan increased by 13%. Foreign guests are offered the opportunity not only to explore the country’s natural and historical-cultural heritage but also to witness a unique site of global significance — Baikonur, the first space launch site in human history. Kazakhstan’s tourism potential was presented at the Kazakhstan–Bulgaria business forum.
Tourism in Kazakhstan is showing steady growth and is becoming increasingly attractive to travelers. Last year, the country welcomed 15.3 million foreign visitors — 6.1 million more than in 2023. The total volume of investment in the tourism sector amounted to approximately USD 2 billion, which is 20% more than the previous year.
Speaking to representatives of the Bulgarian business community, Alisher Tursyn, Director of the project support department of «Kazakh Tourism» NC» JSC, emphasized the readiness for strategic cooperation with foreign investors.
«We invite Bulgarian investors to consider opportunities in hotel development, the construction of resort facilities, spa complexes, and other tourism initiatives. Foreign investors have access to government support mechanisms: 10% reimbursement of accommodation facility construction costs, 25% compensation for ski resorts and tourism transport, tax incentives including exemption from corporate income tax, land and property taxes, customs duties, and simplified land procedures», -he noted.
The forum became an effective platform for discussing prospects of bilateral cooperation between the business communities of Kazakhstan and Bulgaria.
