A new tourism route will be developed in Kazakhstan based on the key locations of the international project Voice Beyond Horizon, initiated by Dimash Kudaibergen in cooperation with Hunan Broadcasting System (China). This was announced today at a press conference in Astana.
The press conference was attended by People's Artist of Kazakhstan Dimash Kudaibergen, Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bauyrzhan Rapikov, Acting Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "NC Kazakh Tourism" Danial Serzhanuly, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "RTRC Kazakhstan" Ernur Burakhan, Executive Producer of Voice Beyond Horizon (Hunan TV) Wang Qin, and Producer and Chief Director of the program Luo Xinxin.
Asel Zhanassova noted that the project opens a new chapter in Kazakhstan–China cooperation and holds special significance in the tourism sector. The speaker expressed gratitude to Dimash for his invaluable contribution to promoting Kazakhstan abroad.
The project covered six regions of Kazakhstan: Turkistan, Mangystau, Almaty, and Akmola regions, as well as the cities of Almaty and Astana.
«I believe this project has made a valuable contribution to the development of culture and tourism. We showcased not only the vocal talents of the participants but also the beauty of Kazakhstan’s landmarks. I’m confident that tourism development will make a significant contribution to Kazakhstan’s economy», - said Dimash Kudaibergen.
Participants included performers from Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Italy, Malaysia, and Serbia. These talented artists traveled across the country by train and visited key tourist locations. Filming took place at the Karavansaray complex, the Caspian Sea coast, the Bozzhyra tract, Lake Kobeytuz, Lake Kaindy, the village of Saty, the Kapchagay Reservoir, and the Shchuchinsk-Borovoe resort area.
During the press conference, Danial Serzhanuly noted the growing interest from Chinese tourists in Kazakhstan. According to data from China’s largest search engine, Baidu, in September of this year, the average daily number of search queries about Kazakhstan ranged between 420,000 and 430,000. The highest activity came from Guangdong and Zhejiang provinces, Beijing, as well as the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and Shandong Province.
«This indicates that interest in Kazakhstan is spreading beyond the border regions and reaching China’s economically developed areas. The Voice Beyond Horizon project will further reveal our country’s tourism potential to a multi-million audience. We plan to create a tourism route based on the key filming locations of this project. I would like to thank the administrations of the six regions for their active support during the filming process and Hunan Broadcasting System for the large-scale work that will allow the world to witness the beauty of Kazakhstan», - said Danial Serzhanuly, Acting Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "NC Kazakh Tourism".
The performances were evaluated by a specially invited international jury and the show’s audience. One of the special guests of the project was two-time Grammy Award winner Walter Afanasieff, who visited Turkistan.
«Over the past 22 days, with the comprehensive support of various governmental bodies of Kazakhstan, our film crew traveled thousands of kilometers and visited unique cities: we heard the historical echoes of ancient Turkistan, were inspired by the majestic landscapes of Aktau on the Caspian Sea, felt the warmth of the ‘apple city’ Almaty, and witnessed the dynamic development of the futuristic Astana. We captured priceless footage and left emotional musical traces on this hospitable land»,- said Luo Xinxin, Producer and Chief Director of Voice Beyond Horizon (Hunan TV).
The project is scheduled to air on Hunan TV, which reaches an audience of over 210 million viewers through broadcast and the digital platform Mango TV, as well as on the platforms of the Kazakhstan media corporation.
