Business Forum " Closing of the year of tourism of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan"

On November 15, 2018, a business forum dedicated to the closing of the year of tourism of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan will be held in Shymkent. The forum will summarize the results of fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism within the framework of the year of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan. The event is expected to be attended by Krista Pikkat, director of the UNESCO Cluster Office, Alla Peresolova, head of the Silk Road Development Project of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Margarita Polonik, General Director of Travel Hunter (Russia), Dagmar Schreiber, a member of the ecotourism information and resource center, representatives of the diplomatic corps of Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, as well as the business community of the Silk Road countries. During the panel sessions, the Forum participants will discuss issues of interaction between the Silk Road states, including the promotion of tourist products of the Central Asian region in the Russian and European markets, as well as further measures for the joint development of the industry. The experience of Uzbekistan in the development of tourism within the framework of the Silk Road project will also be presented. A regional consultant of the CAREC program, a representative of the Asian Development Bank in Kazakhstan, will talk about economic corridor projects in Central Asia as the basis for the development of interregional projects in the field of tourism. In the final part of the Forum, a presentation of a New transnational tour along the Silk Road (Kazakhstan – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan – Tajikistan) will be held. The Forum will host a photo exhibition "Along the routes of the Great Silk Road", where the works of professional and amateur photographers who took part in the photo contest announced by JSC "NC "Kazakh Tourism"will be presented. The guests of the event will see works reflecting the colorful culture, local life, unique traditions, sacred places, ancient architectural monuments, interesting recreation places and natural landscapes of the countries of the Great Silk Road. The Forum will also be attended by professional artists of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, who will hold a master class on painting on the theme "The Silk Road in the modern world".
