The fourth infotour this year has been completed

Winter has already entered its legal rights for half a month, which means it's time to start winter activities. Last week, our fourth infotour of this year ended. 10 tour operators and 10 media representatives got acquainted with the old and new opportunities of the Almaty Mountain Cluster

"I really liked the level of hospitality of our ski complexes, such as "Shymkent", "Ak-Bulak" and "Lesnaya Skazka". For fans of active winter entertainment, these places are just a fairy tale, " travel blogger Aliya Baymurzina shares her impressions. The host of the Big Cities project also expressed her point of view

Zhuldyz Rakhmetova: "It is interesting that, having a common specificity, the ski resorts of Almaty still differ in their orientation. For example, the "Forest Fairy Tale" has a very good set of entertainment for family holidays, and its slopes are gentle and convenient for children. "Ak-Bulak" is characterized as a sports and recreation complex. "Shymkent" is distinguished by its convenient location and versatility for all visitors, which on the other hand affects the workload, especially on weekends.

The mountain cluster of Almaty has a leading position not only among Kazakhstan's resorts. In fact, in addition to domestic mountain skiing enthusiasts, our complexes receive guests from Russia, China, the USA, Germany, South Korea and even from exotic India. There are many athletes among them. For example, 175 athletes from South Korea will undergo training camps at the resort of Shymkent this winter. Among the athletes are alpine skiers who participated in the Olympics. A number of factors, such as modern infrastructure, brand awareness and service, allow resorts to attract more and more visitors every year, with an average growth of 20%. If last year "Lesnaya Skazka" received 52 thousand tourists, this year more than 60 thousand are expected, "Ak-Bulak" receives up to 3 thousand people a day on peak days, and "Shymkent" has already managed to visit 122 thousand guests at the beginning of the season, and this is 40% more than the previous year. It is obvious that ski tourism is developing at a high pace and has prerequisites for further development. To do this, it is necessary to identify new growth points, one of which may be, for example, the Turgen Gorge.
