From June 30 to July 1, 2018, Astana hosted the International Festival of Nomad Culture "Koshpendiler alemi". Participants from such countries as Bulgaria, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, Russia (Bashkortostan, Yakutia), Ukraine arrived in the capital of Kazakhstan. The festival program consisted of demonstration performances of participants and musical performances of performers who are part of the heritage of the nomads of the Great Steppe. The teams-Magyar Turan (Hungary), the Proto-Bulgarian survival school "Baga-Tur" (Bulgaria), the Public Organization "Military-Patriotic Club "1st Bashkir Cavalry Regiment "Lyubizar-Northern Cupids" (Bashkiria), the Ordugai Turkish Team for Historical Restoration (Turkey), "Sky Nomad" (Kyrgyzstan), "Sarbazrukhy" (Kazakhstan), became guides for the audience to the world and culture of nomadic civilization. As Rashid Kuzembayev, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KazakhTourism, noted, the Koshpendiler Alemi festival plays an important role in preserving the traditions, history, unity and spirit of the nomads ' heritage. Therefore, this event will become an annual event and is planned to be held in different regions of Kazakhstan. "Now we live in different countries of Europe and Asia, but we are united by a common past – we are all nomads and we have common roots. Therefore, the idea of the festival is to show and unite not only the residents of Astana and Kazakhstan, but also the whole world, so that they come here and plunge into the atmosphere that was several centuries ago, when we were a single people and roamed the expanses of Eurasia, " said the head of JSC NC KazakhTourism. The territory where the festival was held was divided into 7 villages, the inhabitants of which were brave warriors, well-aimed archers, agile horses, the best artisans and musicians of the nomad culture. Within two days, interesting and exciting events are held in each "aul": Aul "Ak Mergen" - performances of archers, "Zhambyatu"; Aul "Shabyt" - performances of musicians and ethno-folklore groups "Turan", "Manaschi", Arkaim", "Tyurgenkam" and others; Aul "Taiburyl" - competitions in the national game "Asau"; Aul " Keruen saray – - cuisine of nomadic peoples; Aul "Altyn saka" – competitions in "Kazakkuresi", "Arkantart", "Asyk atu", "Bukatartys", "Koikoter" and other types of national Kazakh and traditional nomad games; Aul "Batyr" – a field camp of steppe warriors, where the scenario of ancient battles will be recreated, as well as spectacular national games "Audarispak" and "Kyzkuu" will be held; Aul "Sheber" – a workshop of artisans with an exhibition of unique handmade products. Here visitors will be able to learn about the subtleties of craft craftsmanship by participating in various masters classes, as well as buy souvenirs. A surprise for the guests of the festival were master classes from experts in jigging, archery and other elements of the culture of nomadic tribes. A full immersion in the world of nomads was provided by the musical performances of the neo-ethnofolk group "Arkayym", the homusist and throat singing artist Turgen Kama, the ethno-folk group "Turan", the winner of the contest "The Spirit Of Tengri" Juliana Krivoshapkina and other performers.Thus, the territory of the National-cultural complex "Ethno-Aul" for two days became the center of concentration of connoisseurs and lovers of nomad culture not only in Astana and Kazakhstan, but also from all over the world. It should be noted that the famous Hungarian anthropologist Andras Zsolt Biro, who has been studying the kinship of Kazakhs and Hungarians for more than 10 years, became a special guest of the festival. Therefore, it is not by chance that the concept of the Koshpendiler Alemi festival was based on the successful model of the Great Kurultai of the Turkic Peoples, which has been held in Hungary since 2008. Thus, residents and guests of the capital got a true idea of the nomad culture and were able to enjoy various performances in the "action" style from the steppe nomads. According to the organizers, the International Festival of Nomad Culture "Koshpendiler Alemi" was visited by about 6 thousand people. It should be noted that within the framework of the festival, a Memorandum of mutual cooperation was signed between JSC "NC "Kazakh Tourism" and ROO "QazaqGeography". The festival "Koshpendiler alemi" is timed to the 20th anniversary of the capital of Kazakhstan. The event was organized by JSC " NC "Kazakh Tourism" by order of the Committee of the Tourism Industry of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the support of the Mayor's Office of Astana.
