Backstreet Boys to perform in Kazakhstan for the first time
Kazakhstan is becoming a hub for international event tourism. For the first time ever, the legendary pop group Backstreet Boys will perform in the cities of Astana and Almaty. The announcement was made during a press conference at the Central Communications Service.
On September 21, 2025, the original members — Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell — will perform at the Astana Arena stadium. The audience can expect a packed program featuring their world-famous hits as well as tracks from their new albums.
The concert in Astana is organized by Astana Concert. Malik Khasenov, the company’s producer, stated during the briefing that ticket sales will begin on July 14 at 12:00 PM. A 24-hour presale will be held that day via the Freedom Bank app. Starting from 12:00 PM on July 15, tickets will be available on Ticketon.kz with 10 payment options. Ticket prices will start from 40,000 KZT.
As part of the concert preparations, Backstreet Boys, Kazakh Tourism, and Astana Concert signed a memorandum of cooperation.
«A task force has been established under Kazakh Tourism with the participation of leading tour operators. They are developing special travel packages that include a concert ticket and additional tourism services. This approach has already proven effective with the Jennifer Lopez concert: Astana alone is expecting 10,000 tourists, and Almaty — 8,000», - noted Alisher Tursyn, Director of the project support department of NC Kazakh Tourism JSC.
It is worth noting that Astana Concert is behind major international projects, including the upcoming two Jennifer Lopez concerts in August this year.
