«LOTUS FEST-2025» festival to launch in Atyrau region
Starting from July 26, the international festival «LOTUS FEST-2025» will kick off in the village of Teniz, located in the Kurmangazy district of Atyrau Region. The festival’s highlight will be the blooming of lotuses in their natural habitat along the Kigash River. Tourists and local residents will have the opportunity to witness this rare natural phenomenon.The lotus blooming will become one of the key summer events in the Atyrau Region. Visitors can attend «LOTUS FEST-2025» and enjoy the view until August 26. A special viewing platform will be installed for guests to safely admire the blooming valley without damaging the flowers. Some lotus stems reach up to two meters in height, and the diameter of their leaves can be up to 60 centimeters.
«LOTUS FEST-2025» will offer tourists not only a unique natural wonder but also a showcase of Kazakh cultural and sporting traditions. An ethno-village will be set up for guests, featuring theatrical performances, a craftsmen’s exhibition, and workshops.
Fans of active recreation will have the chance to participate in competitions in national and other sports, including Kazakh wrestling (kazakhsha kures), asyk atu (a traditional game), archery, arm wrestling, and tug-of-war.
