How to develop competitive tourism products, what is needed for a successful launch of agritourism, and why quality standards are an essential part of the modern tourism industry - these were the topics covered by Kazakh Tourism experts during a seminar for representatives of the tourism business in the Pavlodar region.
In the first half of 2025, accommodation facilities in the region hosted 129,000 travelers. Compared to the same period last year, the number of tourists increased by 31%. Considering the growing tourist flow to the region, the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, together with the Atameken Chamber of Entrepreneurs, initiated a training seminar for local tourism business representatives.
The seminar aims to improve the qualifications of entrepreneurs, develop tourism products, and enhance the quality of service in the hospitality sector. Special attention was given to the creation of competitive services in agritourism.
«It is not enough just to attract tourists; it is important to ensure comfortable conditions for their stay. It is encouraging that the region places importance on training local businesses, as this contributes to the formation of a sustainable tourism ecosystem», - noted Acting Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC Kazakh Tourism, Daniel Serzhanuly.
Representatives of Kazakh Tourism spoke about the prospects for the development of agricultural and rural tourism, current approaches to the standardization of tourism services, the implementation of the "Quality Mark" program, and the digitalization of the work of guides and tour leaders. Participants examined real cases of tourism business development in rural areas and studied practical tools for creating and developing tourism products.
It is worth noting that the «Quality Mark» program, initiated by Kazakh Tourism in 2021, is aimed at raising the culture of hospitality and improving the quality of tourism services in Kazakhstan. Since its launch, more than 200 companies have confirmed that their services meet tourism industry standards. The «Quality Mark» is awarded to tour operators, accommodation facilities, and food service points at two levels: «Very Nice» and «Nice».
