Kazakhstan continues to strengthen its tourism ties on the international stage. Representatives of the domestic tourism industry are expanding partnerships with leading players in Japan's tourism market. The largest travel companies of the Land of the Rising Sun have arrived in Kazakhstan to explore key destinations and develop joint tourism products.
Representatives of 10 leading Japanese tour operators will visit the city of Almaty, as well as the Almaty and Mangystau regions. Guests will be introduced to key tourist locations: the high-mountain resort Shymbulak, the Kolsai Lakes, Charyn Canyon, and the unique Bozzhyra tract.
Special attention during the visit is being given to the development of business relations. In Almaty, B2B meetings were held between Kazakh and Japanese companies. During the negotiations, participants discussed promising routes, joint projects, and plans for promoting Kazakhstan in the Japanese market.
«In the first nine months of this year, Kazakhstan was visited by 9,178 Japanese citizens. We have almost reached the total figure for all of 2024 and are seeing a 20% increase compared to the same period last year. This confirms the growing interest in our country, and we are actively working on strengthening sustainable tourism exchange. Our goal is not just to attract tourists, but to build strategic partnerships», - noted Daniеl Serzhanuly, Acting Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC Kazakh Tourism.
The informational tour for representatives of the Japanese tourism industry is being held in cooperation with Air Astana, the tourism departments of Almaty city and the Mangystau region, tour operators Kompas, Skyway, KITE Travel, Visit Aktau, and hotels The Ritz-Carlton Almaty, Rixos Water World Aktau, and Swissotel Wellness Resort Almaty.
It should be noted that in September of this year, Kazakh Tourism and Air Astana organized B2B meetings with Japanese tour operators in Osaka and Tokyo, where tourism products, routes, and opportunities for interregional cooperation were presented.
