Environmental Fairy Tales Promoting Care for Nature Presented in Astana

A presentation of the series of environmental fairy tales The Magical Worlds of Platon was held at ORTA Creative Hub in Astana. The book was created by 12-year-old author and creator Platon Nechaev. Through his work, the young writer promotes the principles of sustainable tourism, environmental culture, and a careful attitude toward nature. Part of the proceeds from book sales will be allocated to the launch of a gamified eco-route in the capital’s Botanical Garden, as well as to the implementation of spring tree-planting programs.

The book The Magical Worlds of Platon engages the younger generation in issues of nature conservation and the development of ecotourism through modern formats. The project demonstrates the importance of environmental education and conscious travel.

«This is the result of a two-year journey—a journey of doubts and faith, refusals and support, as well as loyalty to a dream. It all began with the educational program PLATON 5D, an original methodology for developing creative, environmental, and visionary thinking in children. It teaches not to consume, but to create; not to use, but to care. Platon’s fairy tales contain values that shape a responsible attitude toward nature and help envision the future - better cities, better eco-spaces, and a better Kazakhstan», - said Platon’s mother and project founder, Irina Kharitonova.

During the presentation, Platon Nechaev spoke about the process of creating the fairy tales, the choice of environmental themes, and the development of the EcoStories ecosystem. It includes a series of original environmental books, eco-trails with gamification elements, as well as an educational Telegram bot designed to foster environmental thinking in an interactive format.

A particularly strong response from the guests was sparked by the PLATON 5D creative workshop, during which children created their own eco-heroes with a mission to protect the environment.
