Guangzhou television is producing a travel project about Kazakhstan

Guangzhou Radio and Television is conducting filming in Kazakhstan for the international project Make Friends in the Silk Road. The program is dedicated to the development of tourism and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and China and is produced in the format of a documentary travel show.

The project will be a continuation of the well-known documentary series Hong Kong Youth in Border Cities, which has gained broad international recognition and a multimillion audience on digital platforms.

The participants of the project are young bloggers from both countries. Through personal experience, they introduce viewers to the tourism potential, culture, traditions, and values of contemporary youth in Kazakhstan and China.

«This year, we have strengthened tourism cooperation with one of China’s largest megacities—Guangzhou. B2B meetings between tour operators of the two countries were held, familiarization tours for representatives of China’s tourism industry were organized, and a direct GuangzhouAlmaty flight was launched by Air Astana. Our consistent efforts in the Chinese market are already demonstrating steady growth. Over 876,000 visitors came to Kazakhstan in the first 11 months of this year, compared to 655,000 for the entire previous year. Projects like this will help expand Kazakhstan’s presence in one of Asia’s key tourism markets», - noted Acting Chairman of the Management Board of NC Kazakh Tourism JSC, Daniel Serzhanuly.

Filming in Kazakhstan covers key tourist and cultural locations in Almaty and Astana. In the southern capital, the creative team explored the urban environment, gastronomic culture, and visited the Shymbulak ski resort. In Astana, the project will present to international audiences the modern architectural image of the capital, its dynamic development, and urban infrastructure.

The TV project will be broadcast on Guangzhou Television, as well as on the international platforms of the media holding GBA Life Style.
