A round table on the topic was held in Ust-Kamenogorsk: "Prospects for the development of tourism in the East Kazakhstan region"

On the initiative of JSC "NC "Kazakh Tourism" and the Akimat of the East Kazakhstan region, a round table on the topic "Prospects for the development of tourism in the East Kazakhstan region"was held in Ust-Kamenogorsk on December 13 this year. The event was opened by the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "NC "Kazakh Tourism" Rashid Kuzembayev and the Head of the Department of Tourism and External Relations of the East Kazakhstan region Zhasulan Sarsebayev. Rashid Kuzembayev spoke about the company's activities, the events held and planned, such as ITB Eurasia in Astana next year, and also presented the results of the conducted expeditions to 20 natural objects. For reference: As you know, last summer Kazakh Tourism organized a large-scale expedition "Uly Dala Eline Sayakhat" covering almost all the most interesting tourist places in Kazakhstan, and in August 2018, the participants of this expedition traveled through one of the most beautiful regions of Kazakhstan along the route "Altai – the cradle of civilization". Video on the results of the expedition link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_q78hj9mb40 In turn, Timur Duisengaliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, presented the concept of the Altai – the Cradle of Civilizations festival. The concept of this festival reflects the idea of the recent article by the Head of State "Seven Facets of the Great Steppe", in which Nursultan Nazarbayev notes that "...It was here in the middle of the I millennium AD that the Turkic world was born, and a new milestone in the life of the Great Steppe came...". The main goal of the festival is to popularize Altai among tourists of the Russian Federation, Mongolia, Japan, South Korea, Hungary, Turkey, and the United States as the "cradle" of civilization. The concept of the festival assumes that the best tourist routes and resources of the East Kazakhstan region will be presented as part of the cultural program of the event, and this festival will promote eco-and ski tourism, as well as increase the recognition of the region. Deputy Head of the Department of Tourism and External Relations of the East Kazakhstan region Marat Kabakov spoke about the development of tourism in the region, tourist infrastructure, including road service facilities. Managing Director of JSC " NC "KazAvtoZhol" Rustam Isaev spoke about the work being done in the field of road infrastructure: road reconstruction and development of service facilities in the East Kazakhstan region. Of particular interest were the projects of JSC " NC "KazAvtoZhol" within the framework of digitalization – this is the "Kazway" application for road service facilities along highways, a pilot project for garbage collection and others. At the end of the round table, representatives of the regional tourism business presented investment projects in the field of tourism. One of the first results of the last meeting can be considered a project on the development of the republican gastronomic map, which is planned to be implemented in the pilot mode in the East Kazakhstan region. National cuisine is one of the important elements of the Kazakh tourist product. In world practice, there is a separate type of tourism – gastronomic, which generates flows of millions of gourmets around the world, traveling in search of new tastes and unique recipes in different parts of the world. That is why on the second day after the round table on December 14, at the initiative of JSC NC Kazakh Tourism, a master class on cooking and interpreting forgotten national dishes from chef Ivan Gordeev will be organized. In addition, a master class is planned from the representative of the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aigerim Musagazhinova on the importance of national cuisine for the ethnic group as part of the national culture and on the results of an ethnographic expedition in the East Kazakhstan region. It should be noted that this is the second event of this format, held by JSC " NC "Kazakh Tourism" together with the NCE RK "Atameken". The first round table was held in September this year in Shymkent with the participation of the tourist community of the third megapolis and the Turkestan region.
