Tourist Reminder: how to protect yourself from violations and fines

To make your trip in any country comfortable, not overshadowed by any kind of surprises on the way, you must adhere to certain rules and regulations. For example, in Kazakhstan, many attractions are located in border zones, where it is necessary to issue a pass in advance (for foreign guests, documents are submitted a month in advance). And to enter national parks and nature reserves, you need to pay a small state fee at the bank (with the exception of some protected areas, where payment can be made at a barrier), respectively, if you are going on an excursion on a weekend, the bank will be closed – it's better to go on Monday. The principle of "we will agree on the spot" is already in the past. For foreign guests, it is important not to allow late registration, to monitor the validity of identity documents, so that there is no unpleasant situation of removal from the flight. In addition to late registration, a common mistake is the loss of the registration sheet, without which sanctions are also threatened, up to the removal from flights. In general, we would advise you to study before leaving whether registration is necessary, because the rules vary depending on where the tourist comes from. It is always necessary to remember the rules of behavior and laws that must be observed in public places: for example, drinking alcoholic beverages, smoking or throwing garbage in the wrong place-a fine is due for this. In addition, it is necessary to find out in advance what documents you need to have with you in certain places of visit. Study the "Rules for visiting" specially protected natural areas, so as not to accidentally violate the law. Usually, for small violations, huntsmen, border guards, police officers make warnings to the guilty. I deserve special attention to the rules of the road. If you travel by car, you should stock up on these rules. If, however, authorized persons impose any administrative fine on you for a misdemeanor, never pay the "fine" without a receipt and other supporting documents. We especially warn you against paying any fines "on the spot" - this is a direct violation of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "on Combating Corruption" and will qualify as giving a bribe to an official. Such an action is punishable under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan by a fine in the amount of twenty times the amount of a bribe or imprisonment for up to 3 years and other consequences. Another common source of problems for tourists is unofficial taxis or private cabs. If possible, you should use the services of official taxi companies. Of course, at the same time, no one canceled the "hitchhiking", especially in the cities of Almaty or Astana, but in such cases it is necessary to agree in advance on the price and other conditions. The same applies to currency exchange. It is best to change money in banks or official exchange offices. Often, intermediaries near such points offer their services, but this may be a deception.
