Media representatives from the USA, Great Britain, Russia, Japan and Korea are invited to Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan is becoming an increasingly well-known destination for tourism. This is evidenced by the recognition of major foreign media and various international awards in the field of tourism. For example, in recent years, our country has been featured in such major publications as the New York Times, Telegraph, Guardian, LeFigaro, CondeNastTraveler, National Geographic, Lonely Planet.

Such attention becomes possible, among other things, due to the invitation of foreign media, travel bloggers, organizers of MICE events and other representatives of the tourism industry.

The national company "Kazakh Tourism" traditionally conducts such FAM trips. For example, in April there was the FAM trip for British media that write for such major publications as the BBC, TripReporter, The Week, National Geographic Traveler, Lonely Planet, Suitcase, Wanderlust and others.

Recently, there was a visit of the crew of the TV channel “My Planet” with the program “Out of Access Zone”, which is filmed in Kazakhstan for the first time. Filming took place in Almaty and Almaty region from May 19 to 25, where Kazakh Tourism provided support in the organizational part.

Also, from 24 to 27th of May in Aktau was organized a trip for a group of British media and one tour operator. They represent BuzzFeed, i paper, Family Traveler. The info tour is organized jointly with Air Astana.

From June 1 to 6 the visit of tour operators, media representatives and bloggers from Korea is planned on the topics of Golf Tourism, where participants will get acquainted with the potential for the development of this type of tourism in Kazakhstan. According to the results of the press tour, the development of special tours from the leading tour operators of Korea is expected.

On the same days, from June 3 to 4, a visit of the writer from Tatsumi publishing house from Japan to Astana and Aktau is expected. As Azusa Shiraishi herself points out, there are only a few travel diaries describing Central Asia in Japanese, and many people in Japan are not well informed about the region. As a result of the trip, a travel diary about Central Asia in Japanese will be published with photos and a description of the stay in Kazakhstan in the amount of 4,000 copies.

From June 11 to June 15, organizers of MICE events and media representatives from the UK, Austria, Belgium, Israel, Slovenia and India will visit Kazakhstan. During the trip, in addition to getting to know the local culture and sights of Astana and Almaty, it is planned to organize meetings with representatives of the tourism industry in Kazakhstan.

And from June 15 to June 21, a delegation of 8 people from the Society of American Travel Writers is expected to arrive. SATW is a professional organization made up of the most experienced journalists, photographers, editors, broadcast, video and film producers, bloggers, website owners, public relations professionals and hospitality industry representatives from the USA, Canada and other countries. The organization was founded in 1955 and has over 1000 members.

Based on the results of this FAM trip, a booklet will be developed about Kazakhstan and its tradition and culture, art, architecture, national cuisine, etc. for an American audience.

It should be noted that these tours pursue different tasks depending on the composition of the participants, but they are all united by a common goal - the promotion of inbound tourism in the country.
